SUBJECT: lack of motivation in schoolwork
My son is a 11 years old who constantly watch cable, go online, play video games than do his HW! Often, I have tried to be patient and tell him to do his hw. However, patience doesn't work!! I would have to YELL and DEMAND he finish all HIS homework. Then he listened to me. His problem is the lack of drive to excel. I have tried to reward him with money, special trips, and to the movies to spark interest in his academic performance. I am frustrated b/c I have a job now which requires more of my time away from home. What can I do to stimulate his intellectual vitality? How could he become a more responsible and mature boy?
