Need someone to talk to AUTHOR: babymine |  |  | I knew someone that had a miscarriage because the baby had genetic defects, was told to wait six months, didn't and ended up with a child with that same defect.
I had to reply to this. Waiting is not going to affect your chances of having a baby with a chromosomal defect. The chromosomes are carried in the sperm and the egg, and are determined by the genetic make-up of the parents. The womb environment has no effect on that at all. Your friend could have waited three years and still had a baby with the same defect, since she and her partner carry it.
