I was in a similar situation when i was younger. I was a good kid but then i met new friends that got me in touble and my grades also got very bad. my mother didn't like me hanging out with the kids i hung out with, she knew they were why i had been getting in trouble and not careing about school. One thing i remember was the more my mom didn't let me hang out with those kids the more i wanted to. Im almost possitive all kids and teens are like that. So the more you keep him away from those kids the harder hes gonna work to hang out with them. i think its best to let him hang out with them until he realizes they're just bringing him down. in another care just because your son hangs out with a certain group of friends dosn't nessasary mean he will be like them. his getting in trouble and grades dropping could easily be from something else. try to find out more about whats going on with him. maybe something is just bothering him. if all else fails...talk to him. good luck. lemme know how it turns out. hope i helped!
