My daughter is 8 month old. She drinks same amount of formula when she was 2 month old. She only drinks about 20 oz a day. Same like your baby, she eats better when she is sleeping. We try to feed her every 3-4 hours. Try to feed her during sleep, that when my daughter eats the most. Our ped said the same thing: let her decide. If that's the case, my daughter probably won't eat for 6 hours without hungry. Just keep trying. We don't like to feed her too much cereal because it is mostly carb. there's no need to fill them up especially when they drink so little. She only weights 14 lbs at 8 month old. I am very worried about her being so small.
