Well I havent actually used anything other than my hand but I feel that my eldest daughter doesnt respond to this any longer. I came to the conclusion that perhaps I should be a little harder on her. I dont want to bruise her or be brutal in any way.

I am comfortable with the idea of a slipper as it appears to me as being quite flat and I presume no bruise will be left. I think she may feel I am being more serious when I take a slipper to her bottom. Hopefully, the threat will be all that is needed. she has settled down since I said I would be using something other than my hand. I will keep you posted!
