I have a four year old son that also has discovered his penis. I am alittle concerned that the other gentleman would advise you to punish your son for something as innocent as discovering that he is a little boy. I have caught my son rubbing things with his gentials with clothes on because as he puts it it feels good. I simply explained to him that is fine but it must be done only in his room by himself. Children at this age are not aware of the sexuality behind this action. As with anything children react to stimulation. They have fun they laugh, they get hurt, they cry. They discover that a part of their body makes them feel good when touched in my opinion is just natures way of letting them discover all the wonderful things about our own bodies. I highly doubt your or my child will become sexual predators etc.. from touching themselves. I would be more afraid if my son oppressed is feelings and desires toward his own body , to me that would dod more damage than good. I hope this helped and good luck!!!
