I am 21 weeks pregnant with no complications so far, my cervix remains closed and I fell pretty good.Besides the fact that the baby is resting on my left sciatic nerve and my right kidney is bothering me. I still get really scared that I will go into premature labour before the baby is viable, but I try and take it one week at a time. I go for my second visit to my OB on the 22nd, my family doctor decided that there was too much of a chance of something going wrong for him to deliver the baby. I had my ultrasound at 18 weeks 4 days and the baby looks fine. In Vancouver, Canada the ultrasound techs won't tell you the sex of your baby. I hate my OB, he is abrupt and rough but there are enormous waiting lists to get in to see another one. He scared the crap out of me with his talk of my cervix opening and the baby falling out. He was the OB for my family doctors wife when she had complications so he must be good. Sometimes it feels like the baby is kicking my cervix, silly little thing. For those who don't know what a bicornate uterus is I will explain. It basically means that your uterus is heart shaped, as it has two horns instead of being connected. There are higher risks for preterm delivery, and incompetant cervix. I would love to hear from anyone who has experiences with this condition, thank-you. | | | |
