Two periods within one week of each other??? what could it mean?

I had my regular period on the 17th of april it lasted till 21 of april, then i had a which bleeding again starting on the 28 of april which lasted 3 days. We have been trying to have another baby since october, and my periods have been normal since i have been off the pill, 28 day cycles. I don't know what happened, and i don't have a clue when i should ovulate now. any ideas of why that could happen?
