My daughter is 3 also, she noticed my penis when she came into the bathroom to go her-self. I don't think we should hide this from our kids, especially us as parents. Don't elaborate, but let her know there is a difference and boys stand up to pee and girl sit down to pee. I hope this helps, I am not an expert or anything, but she, my daughter, seems to be doing just fine and knows the difference and understands, but has not asked why. Good Luck... ;-)
