our 21month old does the same thing! Airplanes are his big thing. also loud cars, motorcycles and vacuum. he is totally petrified by the sound. he cries and is holding on to me like it is the end of the world. or he will cry and run to a corner and will be there shaking and crying really hard. i am not sure how to handle this myself. we talked to him about it. he know WHAT the sounds are but the fear is still there. i wonder how long this will last and how to handle it too.. have things gotten any better? please let me know if youve learned anything,
