SUBJECT: Due date discrepancy, preeclampsia...now depressed!
Due date calculator says May 8 is due date. 8 week sonogram says May 29th. That's a 3 week difference...why such a discrepancy? Then diagnosed with preecalmpsia...high bp and edema, spots and blurred vision, headaches. She was told to leave work, and was put on bedrest. For 4 weeks, she has been able to do nothing. So long as she does nothing, everything looks good. They told her they would wait until baby was full term and then induce because of the preeclampsia. Now since things have been well, they are waiting for her to go naturally. Not to mention the fact, that the baby's father was a 12lb. baby born naturally and this does not seem to concern the doctor as it concerns us. Now the depression and crying bouts have set in...what to do for her?!! HELP! Do I talk to the doc? Do I let things stand? I feel badly that she is no longer enjoying her pregnancy! = (
