Yes, My mom gets on to me because my 1 and a half year old sleeps in my bed. He has since he was 6 months old (never did sleep in his crib). I slept in my parents bed when I was younger..only bad thing was I was around 12 when I stopped..I would fall asleep in their bed and then they would walk my into my room and put me to bed when they would go. I hope my baby isn't that old when he sleeps in his own bed..LOL! I think family beds are nice, you are right there if something goes wrong. I love when he snuggles against me to sleep..I think alot of people are missing out on that.I grew up okay. I am VERY independent, so much so that my husband told me he wanted to stick my independence up my butt. So don't listen to those that tell you how to run YOUR life..Good LUCK
