In some ways, I think you're lucky. I was the same all throughout school. I think it prevented me from getting into situations I couldn't handle, and didn't want to be in, such as premarital sex, etc. Now that I'm mature enough to handle it by myself, I can talk to girls with ease, because I know I'm not going after them just to have sex, in fact, I'm just trying to make friends most of the time. I suggest you kind out who you are and just be yourself. It won't happen overnight, and I know it's sounds cheesy, but it's true. Once you can be yourself, people will notice it, and guys that like who they are are actually more attractive than others with low self-esteem (Not that I know this from personal experience, but so I've been told). Don't worry, there's hope for you yet. If there's hope for me, there's hope for you.
