well i was in the was once in that same situation at one time. My daughter was in the 4th grade and she was having so much trouble with everything she was also acting out some times at home because she was so miserable because she wasn't geting what she was doing in class. So what we did was took her to a specalist and got her dignosted with her disability and she got an IEP that means she will still be in a public school with her friends but, she will get help for one class or an amount of time from the day she would will get indivual help from either a teacher or somone else they would work on reading, writing, and also homework. now my daughter has some what of a 4.o and is doing just as she sould be, great! And hope you look into an IEP for your son and hope everything works out great for you and son!
