SUBJECT: what's after Clomid?
Hello, I just heard some fertility news from my doctor today after recent tests. I don’t have enough FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) or I have too much, I can’t remember, anyway what it means is that I have fewer healthy eggs than a woman my age should. (I'm 37) And that means that there is a very slim chance of me getting pregnant without help.

So they are going to put me on Clomid which will increase the chances by a few percent.

And if that doesn’t work, I’ll go to a fertility specialist and there are stronger drugs I can take.

We probably won’t do in-vitro if it comes to that; we’ve decided that we’ll just take it as what’s meant to be at that point. I will be dissapointed, but I think my husband and I have a good attitude about this.

My question is, what are the stronger drugs that come after Clomid? Has anyone gone that route and were you sucessful? are there scary side effects?

I'm also confused, because I was pregnant before (at age 20, and I miscarried) does the FSH issue not happen until later in life?
