I am a mother of a 4 yr old who about a year ago started doing the same thing. My friends and his grandmother wouldnt even hit my door and he would have them taking off their shoes and socks so he could hold them. It has dissapated alittle after the cuteness wore off and fear set in that my son was weird, that i started telling him no , without shaming him. He really targeted my mothers feet which started to concern me, but like i said we just started telling him no , that we didnt want to take our shoes and socks off and it seemed to pass. Every once in a while he will rub his sisters feet or ask to and we just tell him no, or distract him with something else. I think boys have it rough , their genetals are outside their body which makes them very aware even if a breeze blows , where my girls still arent even interested in their privates. Im not sure if the foot thing has sexual motivation behind it or what fascination it holds for our boys but like i said, say no without shaming them and redirect his attentions to something else.
Good luck and i hope this helps.
