Bleeding??

I am approximately eight weeks pregnant. Last week I started bleeding , not as heavy as my period but it lasted for four days. It scared the hell out of me. I went to the doctor the morning after it started and she took a blood test,told me that my cervex was still closed wich ment I hadn't had a miscarriage. I was told that if the blood test showed this hormone level was low , I was likely to have a miscarriage, and to get bedrest. This is my first pregnancy and I'm really scared that I'm not doing everything or something right. There are so many rumers like not to take baths? Please help me. Any advice would be helpfull. As well as some information as to what this hormone is and how it is produced, and anyone who has had a similar experience please give me some advice. It would be greatly apprieciated
