| SUBJECT: |  WHY MY BABY IS NEVER LEFT TO "CRY IT OUT" |

| I recently fired my housekeeper whom kept criticizing how I am always catering to my baby. ( Because it's mine! ) Obviously if the baby is crying something is not right. Wether its physical or emotional.
I tried letting my baby cry and it only made her wwaaayyy too upset, so upset that I couldnt even get her to nap all day, not to mention her throat must get irritated from hours of crying. When I used to pick her up, I d cou;d clearly see and feel she was very upset with me and that is why crying out is a no-no for me. Whoever said that babies NEED to teach themselves how to fall sleep? think about it, that is why they are BABIES, not kids, not adults.
It is also very true that babies that are left to cry it out do not have as great of a relationship with their parents and are more likely to become insecure preschoolers. Do you you like the sound of that? I think people that leave their babies to cry it out are either lazy, do not have feelings and /or prioritize other things before their baby. My baby always comes first. Sometimes, I can barely take care of myself when I am alone but that is ok. I have come up with ways to multi task and still not drop dead. Our home is meticulously clean ( only I clean) and I still manage to look presentable ( nails done, hair done, even do a daily hour on my treadmill to lose weight while the baby sits on her stroller next to me ) and most important my little one is a VERY happy baby. Someone said--"what will you do when the kid becomes a teenager?"-- well a baby and a teenager are two different things its like comparing a gold fish to a shark. Also, someone else said that if the mother doesn't rest then everyone will be unhappy. To solution that problem I take naps while my baby naps as well.
As a result my baby and I do not have ANY sleep problems. At only 6 weeks, she only wakes up once at night and she feeds very well most times she ll drink three to four ounces. Im sure that once we start solids she ll sleep right thru. During the day she takes a few naps here and there and whenever we have a Dr's appt. she will barely cry because my presence alone comforts her and I am very soothing if any procedure is uncomfortable.
When we go out in public she s a great baby to take anywhere...shopping, park, beach, grandma's, a walk, etc. Never an unpleasant scene. Why would she be unhappy she s never left to "CRY IT OUT".
Doesn't this all make sense? |
