SUBJECT: Sexual Abuse, Sexual Interest and Disturbing Thoughts...
I am the mother of a 7 year old. When she was 2 1/2 she was molested by her 13 year old uncle. There was no penitration (thank you God)!! No charges could be pressed at the time because of lack of evidence. I so want this SOB to burn... I often feel like I have to protect her and have gotten to the point where I over due it.
I have a very hard time dealing with this and know I need to get into a support group.(any suggestions where I shloud look?) She has no recollection of this and I don't ever want her to know.
She is getting to the age where she is intersted in boys and often talks about crushes and kissing boys. I am scared to death that I have not prepared her for life. I want to keep her mind on school and being the best she can be without the distractions of boyfirends. She comes home from school often and knows so much more than I ever did and I want to keep her sheltered from all of this until she is ready to learn and not take what I say as a free pass to go and try it out. Any suggestions on how I can prepare her for upcoming intersts as well as preparing myself. I am going crazy trying to deal with this. My baby is growing up in such a crazy world!
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
