My child's problems have resolved because of our positive reinforcement and loving direction. At no time were we forceful or abusive. You, on the other hand, have offered advice in which influences a child in fear. You have the wrong idea of discipling and I really hope you don't have any children of your own. Your kind of advice would certainly attract child-protective services. Besides, children are God's gift to us, to nurture and love. They are not a possession to be controlled out of fear with frequent spankings.

P.S. Thank you to all those who responded to my inquiry with positive advice. I appreciate your concern and input.
