Do you ever let him cry it out when he wakes at 3 pm? That's what I would suggest. If I let my 4 1/2 month old cry it out during night time sleep he usually will go back to sleep within about 10-15 minutes.

By the way, how's your son's blocked tear duct? Did it go away?
