 | I read a few messages regarding this subject. My son is standing and crying, relentlessly, before he goes to sleep at night and for naps, and then he often wakes up at night doing the same...and before this he was a pretty good sleeper (we had ferberized him at 6 mos.). I read about helping him to get down to teach him, and I will work on that...but it takes up to 45 minutes when we put him down to sleep...and longer in the middle of the night.
He learned to crawl, pull to a stand, stand without holding, and is cutting 2 teeth...all in the past 2 weeks...and he is going thru separation stuff...does anyone have any thoughts as to the most humane way to get thru this stage of wake-ups, standing, crying, etc...without ending up with future sleep issues? Oh, and we found out he is anemic and is on iron, and is a little constipated too!
I just feel pretty badly for the kid, he has gone through a lot of changes in a short time, and might be in some pain from his teeth...so I (even though I have been doing it) hate to let him just CIO....
Any suggestions, thoughts, etc...would be welcomed. I feel like until he learns how to get down from standing, letting him CIO is not really working.
Uhg!
Thanks in advance for anything you can offer. |
