um, i think that that is something that you really need to ask your doctor... should not listen to these cases of lucky women who lost weight but the baby was healthy...

i myself am overweight but i was doing research online and from what it sounds like it is NEVER healthy to lose weight when you are pregnant... the body produces ketones when you burn fat, and supposedly these are unhealthy for the baby... can cause birth defects.

i know how hard it is to want to lose weight, i lost 75 pounds before becoming pregnant and really wanted to continue but think about it, you have a whole life ahead of you to lose weight. you should get the opinion of your doctor, see if they think it is ok. because the choices you make now will affect the the health and well being of your baby.

think of how bad you will feel if you have a baby that will have to live with a defect their entire life, only because you could not wait 9 months to lose some weight.
