SUBJECT: colds and pregnancy?
I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second pregnancy. I lost my first in 1999 at 7 weeks. I started spotting on 1/11/02 and went in for an ultrasound. When I went in I thought I was only 6 weeks and found out I was 9 wks. 3 days. The ultrasound tech. said that everything looked perfect. She said that I could have walked to much the day before and my cervix was rubbed raw and broke some capilliaries in it. well, 2 days later I came down with a chest cold and I have been coughing my tail off. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if that would cause small ruptures in the cervix and cause it to bleed. I am getting a little nervous and I don't want to seem like a pest at the OB office. I probably just have "THE 1ST. TIME MOM JITTERS!"
