SUBJECT: Getting Tubes Tied? Having Second Thoughts. Help Time is Running Out!!
I am 24 years old and will be 25 next month. I just had a baby five weeks ago which make my third child. My boyfriend (of eight years- the father of all three) and I decided that I would get my tubes tied this time since we did not plan on having anymore children. However for the past two weeks I have been having second thoughts about having the procedure done. My six weeks check up is next week and the doctor will be scheduling the procedures. Help! Is it normal to have second thoughts or am I over reacting.I do not know what people in my family would think of me if I do not get my tubes tied. Everyone keeps asking me, are you getting your tubes tied. I am having second thoughts for many reasons. One, I have read the message board and have read messags from many women who got their tubes tied at this age and are know in their thirties and want to get a reversal but can't afford it. Second, I am not married and do not really know if my boyfriend and I will get married although we have been together for eight years. Any advice on this will help ease my mix emotion; because, I do not know how to talk to my bofriend about this situation.Please Respond!
