I am the mom of two girls and I can relate to your troubles. I really believe that all babies are different and they know what they need. She is only 10 weeks old and if she is waking three hour after going to bed I think that is normal. The breastfeeding books and sleeping books that I read all said that this is very normal until at least four months. At four months you can start giving solids and then you can know with confidence that she is likely not hungry and that you are justified in cio through a feeding. I would not recommend giving her any type of solid food to help with this until at least four months. Even the very basic rice cereals contain soy and other additives that if given to early can increase the likelyhood of allergies. I think that as new moms we worry so much and for my self what worked was to just listen to my babies and if I got up and fed them on demand for the first few months it was fine. They went back to sleep and my sleep was barely interrupeted. Because she is so young yet you will find that if you put in all of this effort to get her to sleep through the night, it will often change. When she has her 3 month growth spurt she will be waking for sure every three hours hungry and when she starts teething the same thing will happen. I definitly think that by six month she should not be waking before dawn for a feeding. As for the napping in the crib, I would not worry about it for another month or so. You will find that things change greatly at about four months. If she sleeps in the swing, car seat your bed, what ever works. I sleep trained my girls both at 9 months of age they are now three and one. They both slept through the night (11 -12 hours) napped in their crib and fell asleep completely and entirely on their own. Before nine months I didn't worry so much about trying to make them do what I ideally would have wanted. I just tried to enjoy it, get rest when I could and now I can't believe how quickly time went by. Good Luck.
