Hello Everyone,
My name is Jodi and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 months, being unsuccessful. Recently, I found out I have PCO. Which of course, scared me as soon as I heard, thinking I would never conceive. Reading this messages here, helped ease my mind a bit. The past two months I have been on 50&100mg of clomid, both being unsuccessful. Starting 4/4/03, I was placed on Metformin 500mg twice daily. I have noticed in reading that some of you only took about 8 pills of Metformin and became pregnant shortly after. My question to you all is should I be having intercourse regularly while I just started Metformin because the effects may occur soon? Is the main goal for this drug to produce ovulation? I am currently on Cycle day 31, however I doubt I am pregnant b/c I went for ultrasound on Cycle Day 12 and OB stated my follicles didn't grow to appropriate size. Therefore, she didn't think I would release an egg. So here I am, starting this medicine yesterday and hoping someone out there can help withmy questions. Also, did any one experience side effects from it, and how long did they last? Thanks so much for any help you can offer. You can email me too at jmk827@hotmail.com It will be nice knowing I have met people who are also in this situation.
Jodi
