SUBJECT: Lead Poisoning
At at routine 12 mons. well-baby exam my MD told me that my daughter has Failure to Thrive (since i suspected since she just turned one year and weighs only 16 pounds). She now has to go through the routine testing to find out what is going on. One of her test for lead poisoning is slightly elevated. My question is, does anyone know if lead poisoning can cause Failure to Thrive and do any other mothers on this board have a child with lead poisoning. We do own an 73 year old house that took 7 years to restore.
Thank you so much for any help you may give. I am beside myself with worry.
