SUBJECT: Not yet sleeping thru night or napping in crib!! 1st time Mom needs help!
My daughter Jordan is 10 weeks old. I have been following Babywise for a week and a half to try to have her on a schedule and to let her CIO (but checking on her every 10-15 or so and comforting her). She is doing great on the schedule (eats every 3 hours and waketime after eating before naptime), and goes to sleep at night at 8:00 or 8:30 with only 20 minutes of crying, but she still wakes at about 10:00 or 11:00 for a bottle feed and again at either 3:00 or 4:00 for another. I was hoping she would sleep thru the night (at least 6 or 7 hours straight) by now. What am I doing wrong? Also, she will NOT nap in her crib. If left to CIO, she will cry the entire hour. She will sleep for about 30 minutes in her carseat, swing or bouncyseat though. I am employing the same tactics at naptime as I do at bedtime - putting her in her crib when she is drowsy but still awake. I really need her to nap during the day in her crib so I can get some things done around the house-such as cook dinner- and avoid an angry husband! Thank you other fellow Mom's for your advice and support!
