Im sorry about ur lose. but what is a molar pregnancy?

A molar pregnancy is where a mole or group of abnormal cells develop instead of a baby. You have to have a Dand C because these cells can spread and in very rare cases cause cancer. You also have to have hcg levels checked to be sure the mole is gone. Once the levels hit zero, you are advised to not get pregnant for at least 6 months. We waited 9 months and my sonogram at 10 weeks showed no sign of a molar, but the doctor could find no heartbeat. After my D and C, my pathology report came back kind of funny so my HCG levels were checked and they were still at 38 1 month later. So, we now have to wait until next month to have them checked again. If they are not down, my doctor said it will be called a partial mole because a baby did from. I guess in a partial, 2 sperm fertilize 1 egg and instead of developing twins, a baby and a mole form. The baby usually does not survive because it has too many chromosomes from the father. Sorry this is so long- it's very complicated and rare. If hear of anyone else with this condition, please let me know!
