SUBJECT: seems school wants to label him
I'm a father of an 2nd grade boy who the school seems to be trying to label as adhd/sensory or any thing else they can think of. The school had him READ tested, this is a multitude of tests to determine IQ-motor skills-hearing-vision, all to say that he was a intelligent,IQ 104, NON ADHD boy. At the meeting I got the feeling that this was not the out come the school wanted, a month or so later the school told his mom and I that he "might" have sensory intergration problems after reading "The Out Of Sync Child", on there recomendation I didnt see any conection. He dosent have any learning disabilities ie. dyslexia, reading or math his only real problem is not wanting to do his home work(but who realy did in school?) Is there any one else out there who is feeling this way?
