SUBJECT: 9 month old with low muscle tone
I recently took my 9 month old in for her checkup. She can hardly roll over and has no interest in crawling. She sits perfectly and has done so since she was 5 months. She can feed herself, hold her bottle and babbles nonstop. At 6 months, we were referred to an orthopedist for possible hip problems because she could not bear weight on her legs. Hips are fine and she can now bear weight and stand but does not pull up. We have now been referred to a neurologist and physical therapist because the pediatrician thinks my daughter has low muscle tone. Any one else heard of this? Would appreciate any information.
