I say AMEN to you! I have four children, the youngest is almost 4 months old. They have all slept on their tummies as soon as they could lift their heads, about 1 month old. They all hated being on their backs to sleep, they get too stimulated that way. Especially if you put them down awake like I do. Mine all slept through the night early on and my little one takes naps wonderfully. The two people that I know of who had babies die of SIDS, their babies were already rolling over and one was pulling herself up. My Pediatrician said that their are over 25 probable causes to SIDS and sleeping on their tummies is only one of them! Not breastfeeding is another, so should we get rid of formula? On the contrary, I know 6 infants with flat heads and 2 have to wear helmets at least 20 hours a day!! I believe that God designed Mom's to know what's best for their babies. I think that somehow babies just feel more comfortable and secure on their tummies.
