AUTHOR: mkelley | | | I was told to stay on the Metformin by my Dr (whom was not my OB either) until I was at least 10 weeks along and then they would evaluate me. So, I stayed on it (500 mg a day) until I was told otherwise. The reason they say to stay on it is to hopefully prevent miscarriage in the first trimester. Congrats on your positive test. Sounds like you got pregnant after just a few pills like I did. The metformin definately worked for me. I am now 8 months preg with a very big boy. Keep me posted and good luck!!!
