I know kids get their ears pierced earlier these days, but I don't think I got mine done til I was 12. I remember it being a special day with my mom, earings and lunch at the mall.

My 5 year old has also requested earings because all her friends have them. I am definetly going to make her wait longer - haven't decided how long. I hate the thought of how fast kids are growing up. I know getting earings is pretty small in the grand scheme, but....
