hi darla,
i just read your post and i couldnt believe everything you have gone through..especially the part about your husband leaving you for another man..geez..anyway..sounds to me like your kids are older now..which is why im writing..lol..i think we all have had our share of ups and downs with our special kids..lol
i have a AS daughter who will be 12 on march 26..we have been through alot with her too..she has been in special ed for all her school years in a learning disabled class..most kids in her class are behavior problem kids..i was wondering if you could tell me what to expect in the later years for her..like high school..how were your boys? im not really happy with her in 6th grade and feel she is lost in the cracks..even though i have had many meetings with the teacher..im ready to call another IEP..i feel the special ed kids are discriminated against (no field trips, band, extracurricular activities, etc..) anyone may respond who knows what im talking about
