SUBJECT: masterbation
My 4 1/2 yr old "rubs" or humps her blanket at bedtime. Usually when she is very tired. I read some of the messages about others who do it, but I really hate it. She has been doing it for a long time now and at first I ignored it and figured it would stop. When I told her to do it in private I felt that she did it more since I condoned it. Now I tell her I don't want her to do it at all which makes her upset that I get upset about it. I am so frustrated because I want to do the right thing for my daughter. I want to be a good parent and not make her feel ashamed that she rubs on her blanket. Please help me figure out if condoning it in private is really the right thing to do because I feel maybe my feelings about her doing it need to be set aside so I don't upset her anymore???????? Someone please help! I also want to know If there is a time when she will stop doing it altogether?
