It is actually the rotavirus. I found a great site at http://vm.cfsan.fda.gov/~mow/chap33.html

This virus can be very serious. My son had it when he was 8 months old and wound up in the hospital for 4 days.

The virus is very conatgeou to young children. And your grandchild can get the virus again dispite what some doctors may say, my son caught it again this season. Luckily I knew what to do this time around.
