 | my daughter is in class and the teacher tells my daughter to go to the nurses office.2 or three times this has happened.because the teacher feels my daughter is ill.i get home and take her temp-cOMPLETELY FINE.I KEEP HER HOME.i,thinking she went to the office sick.again, a few days later,i get a call, same thing.ok, i will be right there".
i get to the nurses office, and make a comment that usually when i let my daughter stay up a bit later than usual, she wants to come home or is a little tired. and one other time my daughter mentioned she stayed up late. but jeesh! i didnt let her, she stayed up in her room playing. so i found out the next morning. the meanwhile i am sound asleep while she is up. so anyways.. she was in the nurses office, or off kilter, because of the flu. i sent her to school, she was Fine. the teacher has been sending my daughter to the nurse at least once or 2 times a week. because she feels she is ill, or very tired, because she has dark circles under her eyes..or is slightly pale, or my daughter will cough,and has postnasal drip..my girl will push the issue,and act as if shes hacking up a Lung!i get a call from the nurse,take my daughter Home..and shes off the walls,AND FEELING PERFECT.she didnt want to stay at school.but the nurse doesnt see this, nor the teacher.i am very offended that they would even assume that i would even send my child to school, if i knew she was sick! ok, again.. 3rd time.. shes in the nurses office, and the nurse assumes shes not getting enough rest,AGAIN. and asks my child this.and Other questions. so the nurse calls me and says, she has a low grade fever,and she just needs some rest.she needs sleep. um.. hello?! she does sleep. but sure.ok. i agree.that night, she Did get sick the poor thing. she is out the next day,friday.i bring her school work in,while she rests at home.in the office,the lady at the desk says,"Kids Need thier rest". excuse me?! so then the nurse and teacher come out ,and ask if my girl is ok;ect. i told them yes,but she did throw up lastnight, so i wanted to keep her out to be safe.EVEN THOUGH my daughter wanted to go to school. i said no.stay home.the nurse and teacher sarcsaastically look at me as if ewww,then had the attitude,that i was full of crap. i was astonished! so i left. the weekend goes by.monday back at school. tuesday at school.and at lunch, and My daughter Gets taken out of lunch and brought to the nurses office again!NOT ON HER OWN! My daughter said because the nurse wanted to take her temp. IS THIS NORMAL? and then asked my daughter a few questions about REST again.my daughter was fine when she got home. off the walls as usual.Being herself :) it bothered her though. so she told me what happened. so i called the principal today.and told the principal i was keeping her out because she had a docs' appoint.early in the day and no point in sending her to school for a few hours.and i also addressed the sleep issue,That my daughter sleeps 10 + hours a night,so allergy's may be the cause for the circles,and she will be seeing her pedi today.and what had happened with the nurse,and why?"and about last week, when she was ill.the Principal was very eager to pass it off to the nurse and said" if you'd like, i can have the nurse call you after her meeting,and u can talk to her, and if u dont like what she has to say, u can call me back.and said ok? i said sure, but its really not a big deal. and she said ok. bubbye. and thats it! i expected this lady to be compassionate,understanding,and to give me an opinion..and i got NOTHING!we went to docs.its my daughters after effects of thecold/sinus'..circles under eyes, and i feel it the teacher issue?? so we went to docs She got a "doctors note". to return..SHE IS FINE.I FEEL ANGRY.I HAVE GOTTEN NO CALL BACK.WHICH IS FINE.BUT WHAT THEY MUST THINK NOW?!AND WHERE TO GO FROM HERE!? |
