Yes, the waiting is the hardest part, and if tests are run, that can mean more waiting - but just hang in there. I'm sure things will be fine, but it's good to get her checked out and ease your mind.

Let me see if I can remember all this! If I remember correctly, puberty is divided into 2 parts, adrenarche, which controls development of hair, and is controlled by the adrenal glands, I think. The other part is menarche, or something like that, and controls the onset of menstruation. My daughter was diagnosed finally with premature adrenarche, and always had hair, pimples, and body odor (she started using deodorant at age 3!) But, she was watched, and she never went any further with her onset of premature puberty, until now at 10, which is normal. No, she never required medication. But I've heard that premature puberty of a more advanced nature can be treated with medication.
