My daughter developed adult-like body odor at about 2 years, and I was told not to worry unless she developed other symtoms. At 6 yrs, she developed pubic hair and underarm hair, and pimples on her face. My pediatrician ran several tests, and consulted with a pediatric endrocrinologist (sp). Turns out my daughter had a "subset" of premature puberty, and has been monitored since, with no full-blown case of premature puberty. She is now 10 1/2 yrs old, and beginning puberty at a normal age.
Have you had your baby checked by your pediatrician? I would think she needs to be checked for premature puberty - it can be treated. Or, maybe this is normal in young babies - mother's hormones, that sort of thing. Your pediatrician should be able to tell you.
