SUBJECT: Parents cannot stop kids, they are more like pushing them away.
I have a very overprotective mother who has TRIED to shelter me from evervything, and I now can no longer talk to her about anything. I just want to say that as much as parents want to control their children, honestly if their teens want to do something bad enough they will find a way to do it. Let kids make some of their own decissions. Otherwise they will never talk to you about anything. I have learned from this, I feel like I am always lying to my mother because of how unreasonable she is.
