overweight and pregnant

I weigh (gulp) 270. I just learned I'm about 5 weeks. I go to the Dr. this week (6th). My husband is so supportive, you know, one of the good guys you're lucky to find in this lifetime. He's expressed concern for my health as well as our baby. My mom is the worst though, questions galore! What I really want to know is how bad it can get. I know I'm not the first overweight woman to give birth. It's just that we've been trying for 4 years! and I would hate it to be my fault that I couldn't carry. Thank you for any advise!
