Ryan has occ. therapy because when he started EIP they said that sometimes when you tie speech therapy along with occ. therapy it will really help their speech to progress. Ryan also has sensory issues in that he craves alot of movement at times.It's like his body is telling him he needs more activity before he can settle down to sit and concentrate on learning. It really has helped. Also, the ABA (applied behavioral analysis) is a therapy used in treating kids with PDD. Even though Ryan hasn't been diagnosed yet, his school felt that because he shows some signs of PDD he might benefit from that and HE HAS! It's intense one on one with a trained clinical trials specialist and it's like she's also giving him speech therapy at the same time. He really shows a lot of potential and is very bright. It's funny because even though he doesn't talk much, he's too smart for his own good and his teacher and therapists all know that which is good. Sorry I took so long to get back to you.
