SUBJECT: Another "poop player" question
Hi guys, i've read through a few of the posts pertaining to kids that remove their diapers and play/paint with their poop...and i'm partly relieved that it's not just my kids that are doing this..but partly sad that i've tried most of the suggestions and STILL haven't had any luck getting my two little ones (2.5 yrs and 1.5 yrs) to stop doing this!

My 2.5 yr old started doing it, and i think because the 1.5 yr old laughed, it encouraged him and now almost everyday i'm greeted with a mess :( Now the 1.5 yr old has started doing it too, as they share a room and copy whatever each other are doing!

I started out with just duct tape over the tabs..that worked for a while, but the minute i stopped using it, they started doing it again. So i then resorted to full wrap around tape, then to tape and hard to remove pajamas, and now my kids are going to bed with diapers on backwards, duct taped, a one piece diaper vest type outfit on backwards so they can't reach the buttons, then pajamas over that. This has defeated my 1.5 yr old..but the 2.5 yr old is like Houdini!!! He manages to still get out of all these garments and either remove the tape or 'wiggle' out of the diaper. I even tried putting his fairly tight fitting swim suit OVER the two layers of clothing...still, he was naked this morning when i went in..luckily, no poop!!

Short of putting the kid to bed in a darn snowsuit...i dont' knwo what to do anymore!! I'm tired, frustrated, and my "free time" that i usually savor each day during nap, is now being eaten away by having to peek in on them every 2 minutes :(

My 2.5 yr old has some medical/mental issues that have caused him to be a bit delayed in terms of speech, muscle tone, growth etc...and is SOOOO not ready for potty training at all, so it seems like i have this long impossible road ahead of me. (doesn't it just figure that his delays don't stop him from figuring out every darn button they put on kids clothing)!! LOL

Anyhow, i'm open to ANY and ALL suggestions on how to stop this...right now they're in bed with backwards/duct taped diapers, backwards fullpiece diaper vests, pajamas and a tight swimsuit or pair of shorts over top of that. I get them out of bed in the morning as soon as i hear a peep, and check on them during nap every few minutes. They have still managed once to do their poopfest though around 6am :(

ARRRGGGHHH!!
