The same thing just happened to me, I was 12 weeks pregnant and found out my baby has no heartbeat. The Dr's told me to wait and see it the baby comes out naturally otherwise I would need a DNC. I have waited 3 weeks now and the only thing happening is spotting blood, small cramping but a brownish discharge with a terrible smell. I contacted the Dr. immediately, they told me to come into the Dr's office to get checked, they said I was having an infection and this could be very dangerous if it gets into your blood stream, they did another ultrasound and seen the baby has shrunk and disforming, they performed a DNC yesterday and put me on a antibacterial medication. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! Make sure to have an ultrasound (vaginal) and hcg tests and make sure your blood levels are doubling.
