SUBJECT: My teen is obsessed with her female teachers
I am unsure of what to do. My teen has been getting obsessed with various of her female teachers. She tries to find out everything about them, and she tries to be just like them. They seem to occupy her mind all the time, as she constantly places them into every conversation. I asked her about it, and she says that it gives her comfort to imagine them around her, patting her head as she goes to sleep, etc. I've spoken to and taken her to the school therapist, and she says that nothing is wrong. This just seems so odd to me, has anyone else, teens or mothers, ever witnessed or experienced this?
