SUBJECT: An answer to ODD and ADHD
Hi, I have a 4 year old son who had ODD and ADHD and is a little terror and also the love of my life. I know it is hard for you all who have children with these problems and trust me its not easy for me either. Sometimes I just hope that he stays in his room and doesn't come out, other times I laugh with him and have such a good time just being with him. These children are bright, have a huge imagination but mostly they want to make us happy, yes US happy. They love us and want to be good and when they aren't they doen't know why. ODD is very frustrating because it can't be dealt with in the normal child way. We have to use kid gloves with them and get the help we need to help them. Never try to do this alone. It will kill you from the inside out and end up taking it out on your child who can't help him/herself. I recommend a book by Ross Green called " The Explosive Child". This will really help those of us who have children who are out of control. Good luck and God Bless.
