I have a 4 year old, who is Developmentally Delayed, and I have been advised by his preschool teachers to have him repeat pre-k because he is behind also. It has been tearing me up too, because not only would he be 6 when he starts kindergarten, but his also very big for his age. He towers over a lot of 5 year olds. I have spoken to kindergarten teachers and they have said to go ahead and put him in kindergarten, because there are classes that will help him. I hope this makes you feel a little better. You definately aren't the only mother with this hanging over you.
