SUBJECT: almost 2 and problems with hitting /daycare
We are first time parents with a son who is 23 moths and expecting our 2nd any day now. But we are experiencing the problem of hitting and pushing/wrestling at daycare with our son. Due to this we are currently looking for another daycare but would like to know if anyone has suggestions to helping us get thru this problem. We know that this may be a stage in his life and we have done time outs and we are currently taking toys away or what ever it is he is fighting over until he can calm down and control his anger. We aren't sure if it is his anger of if he just wants to be the center of attention & relizes that the more he does these things the more attention he is getting. Also could he be sensing the fact that the new baby is going to be here soon and is trying to get the attention. It really upsets me to have to always be repremanding him all day but we are really don't know what else to do. HELP!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!
